Prospex Limited Edition “Commando Arnie” Hybrid Diver’s 40th Anniversary

There are just 4,000 of this limited edition timepiece available worldwide. This “Commando” style diver’s watch is a modern re-interpretation of the Seiko “Hybrid diver’s,” a world-first originally released in 1982 as a hybrid combination of analogue and digital watch technology. This model is also known as the “Arnie” after the actor who wore it in the film ‘Commando’ and its watch shape is nicknamed by Seiko fans as a ‘Tuna’ – because of its larger diameter and bold shape like a tuna tin.

This particular design is a celebration of the 40th anniversary of the world’s first hybrid diver’s watch with alarm chronograph. The original watch proved its reliability in extreme environments including the Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition in 1984 and the Joint Mount Everest Challenge made by the Japanese, Chinese and Nepalese team in 1988.

The new calibre H855 has been upgraded with improved visibility for diving, with a larger display at the 6 O’Clock position. It also features diving log, depth metre and temperature measuring functions.

Prospex is a combination of the words ‘Professional’ and ‘Specifications.’ Seiko Prospex timepieces are designed to be practical, reliable and durable; to meet the high standards required in extreme environments for sports lovers and adventure seekers alike.

Pretty impressive piece. Cleanly made and packaged. Arnold Schwarzenegger wore it in the films Commando and Predator. You should download the German instructions if you don't speak English. It takes a while until you've clicked through and you know which button is for what. The strap is much too long and has to be shortened. It's fiddly and you have to be very careful not to lose any parts. Charging the solar clockwork also takes ages in the current winter weather. But otherwise I'm happy with it. As an Arnie fan, it's a must-have gadget. It's very accurate and precise. How long is my warranty?

We provide the official international manufacturer's warranty for branded watches and branded jewellery. This is at least 24 months. Individual brands or products sometimes have a significantly longer warranty. CHRISTIAN brand jewellery is guaranteed for 24 months.

What does the warranty cover?

A watch's warranty generally covers manufacturing and material defects, including the movement, hands, dial, crown and sometimes the case. However, it does not cover damage resulting from incorrect use, lack of care (see our maintenance tips), accidents or normal wear and tear (e.g. straps, batteries, etc.).

What is the difference in colour between 14-carat and 18-carat gold?

18 carat gold contains 75% pure gold, which gives it an intense, warm yellow colour that radiates elegance. In comparison, 14 carat gold, with 58.5% pure gold, has a slightly lighter, more restrained yellow colour. In white gold, 14 carat appears brighter and more radiant, while 18 carat has a softer, subtle lustre. In rose gold, 14 carat stands out with a more intense shade of pink, while 18 carat is characterised by a softer, more restrained shade of red.

Does the jewellery come with a certificate of authenticity?

All CHRISTIAN diamond jewellery is sent with a certificate of authenticity indicating that our diamonds are natural and extracted from conflict-free sources.
CHRISTIAN gold jewellery and silver jewellery do not come with a certificate. The responsibility label (CGZ stamp) on the piece of jewellery is sufficient to indicate that it was produced by CHRISTIAN AG. The gold quality is indicated by the symbol 750 or 585. The silver quality is indicated by the symbol 925.

Are your diamonds and gemstones natural?

How much does it cost to adapt a watch strap?

How much does a ring adjustment cost?

We recommend using a free ringsizer to determine the right size beforehand. If the ring still does not fit, we will be happy to check whether an exchange or customisation is possible. Do you make engravings?

Yes, we do offer engraving. Engraving can be chosen during the order process for wedding rings and engraving bracelets. If you would like a watch or another item engraved, please contact us by email (info@uhrenschmuck24.ch) or via the contact form so that we can check your request.

Do you pack the order as a gift?

Can I pay by instalments on your website?
