Continuing the Seiko heritage of innovation and design evolution, Prospex introduce a new diver’s watch, evolved from a combination of two popular Seiko designs.

Nicknamed by fans for their unique case shapes, the ‘Samurai’ and ‘Shogun’ designs are popular Seiko models which are angular in shape and instantly recognisable. The new ‘Samurai’ inspired 4R Diver hybrid takes elements from both heritage designs, as well as adding modernised features.

Aesthetically, the new model takes the steep angled lugs of the Shogun, razor-sharp as if modelled by a Samurai sword, and echoes the crown design of the Samurai model with the straight contours of both blueprints.

In terms of size, this piece has a compact 41.7mm diameter case and slim design for comfortable wearability. It has new sharp design features such as a date window at 4.5 o’clock, pointed hands, and a newly shaped bracelet.

Compliant with the recognised ISO standard for professional diving watches, it features an in-house 4R35 movement with a power reserve of 41 hours.
